The Soothing Scalp Serum + All of Its Plant-Rich Glory

I think we can all agree having an itchy scalp is like someone constantly poking you in the arm - ANNOYING. The unbearable scratching and tugging at the hair + your nails cutting your delicate scalp will have anyone in a state of frenzy.

Eczema warriors - Am I right?

Well - once upon a time, our founder Mariah struggled with seborrheic dermatitis and late nights of scalp scratching. Dermatologist prescribed steroid shampoos - unfortunately but fortunately - were not her saving grace.

After losing her hair at the front of her head + waking up to bloody nails from scratching in her sleep, Mariah had enough and decided to get into the kitchen to concoct a natural, steroid-free solution - and the formula for the Soothing Scalp Serum emerged.

"I wanted to create a product with a pleasant tingling and cooling sensation that I can carry in my purse and use anytime throughout the day. Because who has time to use a steroid shampoo when your scalp is itchy and on fire at work? " - Mariah (Founder of Minty ReliePH)

The Soothing Scalp Serum "SSS" is an itch fighting, cooling serum that targets sensitive, dry and flaky scalps. It is free of synthetic fragrances, parabens, dye, petroleum, phenoxyethanol, sulfates, and phthalates. And guess what? The "SSS" is vegan AND extremely gentle, soothing + effective on the most delicate skin. Child and adult friendly.

Lets dive into the key ingredients:

Apple Cider Vinegar: Apple cider vinegar has natural antibacterial and anti fungal properties. ACV can also soothe irritated scalps when used properly. Applying ACV topically may help restore their skin’s natural pH level. And no, you can not smell the apple cider vinegar in our formula.

Aloe VeraIt's known to have both antibacterial and anti-fungal effects. This, combined with its anti-inflammatory properties, could be particularly useful for people with eczema. Irritated, broken skin is more prone to bacterial and fungal infections.

Peppermint OilWhile peppermint oil may be known for some skin care benefits, it's also good for your hair and scalp. It may help with dryness, itching, or other scalp problems. The benefits of peppermint essential oil can be described as: antimicrobial.

Zinc OxideZinc helps attack your scalp's fungal and inflammatory issues. It reduces buildup on the scalp and helps de-clog your follicles.

Safflower Oil: When rubbed into the roots of your hair, has been shown to improve the hair quality and also giving the hair a lustrous sheen. It's also been shown that it can moisturize skin giving it a healthy glow. This oil has been used for many ailments including baldness and hair loss.

Not only is the "SSS" light-weight, but also it is water based, absorbs quickly into the scalp and non-greasy! For my curly girlies - feel free to use this on those curls if you need a boost of hydration.
